United Airlines has announced intentions to launch services to three more countries, further expanding its Middle East and Africa network with Ghana, Nigeria and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Set for launch next year, United Airlines says it intends to launch services from Washington to Accra, Ghana, and Lagos, Nigeria, and then extend its existing daily Washington-Kuwait flight to include Bahrain.
“Our first-ever non-stop service to Africa will offer customers convenient and comfortable travel opportunities to visit two of the fastest-growing cities in the continent,” said Kevin Knight, United Airlines SVP Planning.
“In addition, our new services to Bahrain and Brussels will open more international routes to our customers throughout Europe and the Middle East.”
Accra and Lagos will be launched on the 2nd of May, 2010 and be operated with a Boeing 767, whilst Kuwait will enter the network on the 18th of April, 2010 and be operated with a Boeing 777. |
